In my back to school work wardrobe mission, I hit the high street for those must have basics. On my list: black trousers, comfortable black heels (for the daily 15+ minute walk through Temple Bar’s cobbles), black flats and non-tshirt tops. So off I went to Dundrum Shopping Centre to visit every store, seriously. To my surprise, I hit the motherload in Marks & Spencer!
Finally, everything I’ve been looking for! Trousers that fit and are washable (dry cleaning around here is steap!), extremely comfortable and cute black heels that go with everything and almost every style and cute tops galore. I realised today that my Job Day 2 outfit was nearly head-to-toe M&S, definitely not the impression I used to have of a matronly retailer. The shoes are wide width from the Footglove range and are amazing! Slipping them on will make your feet sigh.
Along with the above, I accessorized with items already in my closet: a pink leather cuff from Aldo, silver pear drop earrings from the Harvard Square candy shop, black belt from the Gap and a white tank from New Look.
