Ug. Monday morning. Woke up late. Still raining. Black on black really summed up my mood this morning. But as I started accessorising, I started to perk up a little bit.

So, it’s pretty hard to photograph black-on-black in low light (any tips?). So I’ll use my descriptive powers: Wearing my obligatory black jersey knit LBD and new long black cardi with a little satin sash tied in a bow along the waistband. One of my favourite pieces of jewelry, a gift from my lovely husband, around the neck. On the legs, great new purple and black houndstooth tights.
These tights are pretty cute and add a subtle sass to a conservative work outfit. They’re really soft too.
Isn’t this pendant amazing! My hubby picked it up at the Spitafields Market in London. He knows me so well. I love the tear-drop shape and the unusual marcasite design.
