The 2nd trimester is when the fun really begins. It starts out quietly enough. You’re easing into this pregnancy game, starting to tell people around you and are slowing feeling more like a normal person. My energy levels have increased and food aversions decreased, that coupled with the slow creeping of spring and holidays abroad have helped me embrace my new wardrobe challenge.
Every baby bump develops in its own special way and depending on your bone structure, you may start showing earlier than others. Sometime in the 2nd trimester, you will have to buy something from the maternity section and it will be a bizarre experience.
Now, I’m still in the 2nd trimester (end of the 19th week as I post) and I’m definitely still learning. So far, I’m able to wear most regular tops, but have graduated to some maternity items. One thing I’m excited about is that most of my vintage still fits! Hope you enjoy…and if anyone has tips on maternity dressing (especially in Dublin), please send them along!
