♥ Blue-violet jersey dress: Tesco ♥ Leggings: Gap ♥ Black Cardigan: Penneys ♥ Pumps: Rocket Dog, Office ♥ Felt flower headband: From JenLovesKev ♥ Black pearl necklace: gift from Mom ♥
@19 WeeksΞ Let’s start from the top. This adorable headband came from JenLovesKev in my fabulous gift box that I won last December. Since I cut my hair above my shoulder, it looks super cute and I’ve worn it tons. The purple gingham and felted flowers with little bow centres are just too adorable and too perfect for spring!
Maternity wear is all about soft jersey, empire waists and emphasising your favourite parts (whether that’s your bump or not). Nothing in this post is maternity wear, but it transitions easily into the 2nd trimester because it’s soft and stretchy. I adore this dress (also seen here and here) from Tesco. It has been an essential part of my maternity wardrobe (until about week 22) and it’s from the grocery store…love it!
The gathered cross-over bust draws attention away from my midsection during the early 2nd trimester days when I’m still getting used to having a visible mid section. Monotone and black are always slimming, but can get monotonous, so injecting a bit of blue violet helps liven this look up for spring. I’m ready to bloom!
NOTE: I’m a bit backlogged on outfit posts so I might jump around a bit from week to week to keep it interesting for you (I hope)
