@20 WeeksΞ Joy of joys. If I look happy in these pics, it is because I can still wear one of my favourite vintage dresses just as spring has sprung! I wore this dress to Swan Lake and the opening of the Grand Canal Theatre a few weeks ago. I’d hoped to wear it again for Easter, but don’t think the weather will cooperate. I love this dress so much. It is quite easy to wear with a faux cross-over effect and is perfectly on-trend with the lovely florals that are everywhere.
Last time, I paired it with an elastic belt (and a much smaller waist!). But to make it work with my maternity size, I added a black satin bow tied slightly above my waist. I really liked Jessica’s pairing of a light coloured dress with dark tights seen here, so I decided to keep it simple and black down to my tootsies. Good thing too because I only have black & brown maternity tights! I brought out the vibrant colours in the dress with my blue cross-over bag from A|Wear that had something very special inside.
My vintage 1960’s binoculars found on Etsy for a steal on Studio Stebby Lee! They fold up to fit perfectly in your handbag. Delightful. I changed my jewlery after the photo, swapping the baby (that’s me!) pendant for the earrings and the beaded Cow’s Lane ring for the Accessorize ring.
PS: The new theatre is pretty cool, especially the exterior. Here I am bundled up in front of it in my trusty maternity trench.
