Hi. I’m Lauren. I’m a Texan living in Dublin (Ireland, not Ohio) with my husband and little boy. I love vintage and vintage inspired looks, but most of all I love being thrifty. I’m learning how to sew (one broken needle at a time) and try to be creative and reinvent things I have before buying anything new.
I started this blog in 2009 as part of a course and it is always evolving. If you have any feedback on what you like or what you’d like to see, let me know. For most of 2010, I dressed my ever-growing baby bump in What to Wear While Your Expecting. I loved my maternity clothes and am now trying to figure out how my clothes and blog will take shape with my new body and new lifestyle.
I’m loving all the independent Irish designers, crafters and shops that I’ve discovered in the name of research for this blog, so if you ever want to be featured, I’m happy to share the love. Most importantly, this blog is just for fun, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy vainly snapping my daily wears!

Just wanted to say hello from a fellow Texan about to make the move across the pond. How long have you been in Ireland?

Hi Traci! I moved over here in Sept 2008 (but lived in Dublin for a short time in 2003 and 2004-2005 for college). It’s definitely a whole other world from Texas, but the folks are great and there are a few decent Mexican restaurants popping up in Dublin if you ever get homesick for that sort of thing. Best of luck with your move!
